The House

The house has been recently upgraded and redecorated, and offers very comfortable, low maintenance living. Roughly T-shaped, the accommodation is all on one floor (no creepy unfinished attics).
The rooms are spacious without being unmanageably vast and feature lovely high ceilings in the front portion and slightly less lofty ones in the middle and back.

Between the bedrooms is a very pleasant room of similar dimensions with a working fireplace, currently used as a study/library, and with French doors to the rose garden at the front of the house. This room is equipped with three power points and a broadband connection, and is lit by a central chandelier and two wall sconces. |
The kitchen is 4.60 x 3.30 m, featuring a beautiful Girondine stone fireplace (now housing the cast-iron log burner) and equipped with large fridge, electric wall-mounted oven and cooking gas hob (connected to an underground tank that also stores heating fuel). Generous storage is provided by oak fitted cabinets.

The super-spacious custom shower cabin (1 x 1.4 m) is equipped with thermostatic taps, massage jets, a rain shower-head and hand-held shower fixture. A recent-model hot-water heater supplies 200 litres of very hot water.
The whole house (except for one room) has been rewired, and new plumbing was installed in the bathroom. A new electrical panel furnishes ample power and is set up to take advantage of reduced night-time rates. The central heating is gas (stored in an underground tank) with hot-water radiators in every room. Throughout the house the floors are tiled for hygiene and ease of maintenance.
